A Gathering Place for Claims Adjusters

The objective of the Philadelphia Loss Conference is to advance and educate Claims Adjusters, promote good relations and provide an exchange of information and ideas between all those associated with the adjustment of insurance claims. We accomplish this mission through regular dinner meetings with educational sessions. Benefits received through membership with the Philadelphia Loss Conference include: Up to Date Industry Topics, networking with other Property and Casualty Claims Adjusters, experts in Cause & Origin Investigation, Restoration, Private Investigators and Forensic Accountants just to name a few. We continually seek and welcome new members. Please utilize a membership application and include the name of one existing member as your sponsor.

President's Message

 

MAY 2012

 

The PLC Board of Directors is thrilled with the outcomes for PLC for the 2011-2012 season!!!  We hope you feel the same excitement about the growth of our organization.   For the 2012-2013 season the BOD has some ideas to increase membership, streamline our notices, increase content for the educational page and have FUN for our members.

 

Let’s take a quick look at the “PLC 2011-2012 Year in Review”

167 PLC MEMBERS   
40 VENDORS on our Directory.  We redesigned this page to promote the businesses cards so our members can “see” the vendor partners listed and have access to their sites.     
THANKS to all of you who showed your support of PLC.   We are overwhelmed!!!

 

PLC will have had 4 dinner meetings with educational content and great networking.  THANKS to our speakers who also hosted the SOCIAL COCKTAIL HOUR. 

 

Every month, we have a new insurance adjustment “tidbit” in ABOUT US from VP John McHenry and a message from President Cathy Gicker on our WEBSITE..

 

We added 3 new Committee Chairs to help us serve our membership----MEMBERSHIP with Sheila O’Donnell; SPEAKERS with Art Czajkowski and LINKS with Mike Petrie.

 

Our charity BEEF and BEER was a HUGE success and we were proud to donate to scholarships in honor of the sons of Frank Marx and Dave Garrison.  THANKS to LORDS of the MANOR for the great live music AND to all who helped with the Silent and Chinese Auction.    We will do this again in October 2012.  Look for info later.

 

The CHRISTMAS PARTY was a blast!!   THANKS to all who brought toys and food for distribution to the local Marine Corps unit.  Here is where I “hawk” membership for next season.  If we want to have a FREE party we will need a good membership base!!  Get your insurance peers involved!!!   Promote PLC to attorneys and vendors!!!

 

Our EDUCATION page is complete with case law and court rulings and we will begin to archive the materials on our site by year so you will always have access to prior entries.  A new addition is the PDF files of the content of the speakers’ sessions.

 

The new LINKS page will help you to the websites of many other “like” organizations.  Keep your eyes open for new ones to add to our list.

 

The annual GOLF OUTING in July 2011 was sold out!!   Make plans now for the 2012 event and think about being a sponsor for a hole or the driving range or lunch!!!  Bring a NEW member!!!

We have DOOR PRIZES and 50-50 at every meeting.   Consider bringing a prize to the meetings.  Great advertisement and P/R.

 

We think our WEBSITE is exciting, easy to maneuver and visually appealing.  THANKS to our WEB MASTER, ROB NEWTON, for all of his ideas!!

 

The BEST thing was the enthusiasm, interest and support from our members!!  We CAN do this because of you and we look to you to keep this momentum going for the 2012-2013 year.  PLC is for YOU!!!   Get involved and keep talking PLC!!
